Gentle Fawn for Winter

Remember this post with my lovely printed blouse from Gentle Fawn?  Well, I decided it was time to style it for winter.  I threw together this quick outfit for the office but love how it turned out with the monocrhome green and blazer to accent the black on the shirt.

Olive + Polka Dots

Last weekend I met up with Jenny & Jessica to stroll through Central Park in hopes of seeing the leaves in yellow/orange/red but they were still mostly green with hints of yellow and orange.  It was a beautiful afternoon nonetheless, despite the drizzly overcast weather.  I am so grateful to be able to surround myself with people that have the same interests as me and also connect with bloggers I used to follow when I lived in Reno. 

Also, we rounded the corner of one of the paths and came to the very famous row of trees/benches/lampposts and had a total "ah-ha!" moment because we all recognized this location from photos and movies but didn't know exactly where it was.  Here's what I wore that afternoon!

{In} Vested

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you all have wonderful plans for the weekend!  I'll be attending a fundraiser for Breast Cancer this evening, working tomorrow and otherwise enjoying the fall weather and friends!  Before I leave you, here is an outfit I wore earlier this week!  I am still trying to get used to the look of these booties on me but I'm otherwise obsessed with the texture and design!

Dressy and Casual: One Blouse, Two Ways

Sunday was an exciting day for me!  I started training at Anthropologie where I will be working as a part-time sales associate (can I get a hallelujah that I'm finally getting paychecks?!)!  I found this blouse on sale at H&M last week (seriously only $10.  Insane aka couldn't help it.) and paired with my lace skirt because they told us to come in the "anthro" look.  I was loving the blouse so much that I kept it on for the street festival adventure with Jess and Rose later that afternoon.  The skirt was too dressy (and not warm enough!) so on went the jeans and scarf.

Ta-da!

Friday Crazy Pants

Happy Monday everyone!!  What an eventful/fun-filled weekend!  What did you do?  Would love to hear!  Oh and happy first day of October!  Where did September go??

On Friday night I went to the Refinery 29 Fall celebration party at Le Baron and wore the below ensemble (how crazy cool are these pants?!).  Saturday morning I was really lazy (but it was amazing), went for a run (first time in a month and it was amazing), and went to Laduree to get macaroons (also amazing).  I splurged on the box of 6 (because I wanted the cute box, obvi.) and they were all gone by the end of Saturday night (woops?).  Yesterday I started my job at Anthropologie (woop woop!!  paycheck!!!) and met up with Jessica and Rose for a fall-filled afternoon!  We made an amazing time out of our street fair let-down by going to The Ginger Man for some pumpkin beer (and snuck in some amazing pretzels!) to ring in the fall season!  It was so great to spend the afternoon chatting and just hanging out.  Then we ventured to the New York Library to take some outfit photos!  Those will be posted later this week (hint: you can see what I wore to my first day at Anthro and how I transitioned it into a casual afternoon).

#IFBCon Outfits

Happy Monday friends!  It's been quite the whirlwind week [and a half...] since I last posted!  I really need to get into a better schedule/routine that gets me focused back on this little guy! 

To catch you up on my life: I accepted an internship with StyleSight, attended the IFB Conference last Tuesday/Wednesday and then started my internship last Thursday and it's been non-stop since.  I've done a lot in the office and also had the opportunity to cover three shows and two presentations and volunteered to work this past weekend.

The IFB Conference was probably one of the best things I could have done since moving here - it allowed me to meet and connect with so many bloggers (both in NY and around the country!) and it gave me a lot to think about with my blog.  I've got a lot to reflect on and work on but I'm excited!

Without further adieu, here's what I wore (and pardon the shine - this humidity + my skin + end of the day pictures = shine...)!
