Olive + Polka Dots

Last weekend I met up with Jenny & Jessica to stroll through Central Park in hopes of seeing the leaves in yellow/orange/red but they were still mostly green with hints of yellow and orange.  It was a beautiful afternoon nonetheless, despite the drizzly overcast weather.  I am so grateful to be able to surround myself with people that have the same interests as me and also connect with bloggers I used to follow when I lived in Reno. 

Also, we rounded the corner of one of the paths and came to the very famous row of trees/benches/lampposts and had a total "ah-ha!" moment because we all recognized this location from photos and movies but didn't know exactly where it was.  Here's what I wore that afternoon!

Minted Monday

Yesterday I finally wore my new mint blouse to work (I bought it on my trip to Huntington Beach for Fashion Week but it's just been sitting in my closet) with a pastel skirt (See what I did there?  Pastel colorblocking - 1 point Tracy).  These are two of my favorite trends for spring and luckily I have a ton of pastel items already!  Looks like Helena had the same idea! 

The other great thing about this outfit?  I had been eyeing these flats at Target for quite some time and scored them for $6.  Patience is a virtue my friends (trust me, I realize that at $20ish that's not even very expensive but I spent a lot of money on my recent travels and things are always better when they are a bargain AmIRight?).

Playing Catch Up

The "consequences" of disappearing for a weekend?  Catching up on all the lovely blogs I follow and adding a post or two.  I spent the weekend away at a friends cabin in the middle of no where and it was the best mental break I could have asked for!  Work has been insane and it's only going to get crazier the next couple of months.  So here's to a little catch up sesh!  And an outfit post!
