I was born and raised in Reno, NV and attended the University of Nevada, Reno.  In August 2012, I made the biggest move of my life to New York City to pursue my dreams of living in a big city and working in the fashion industry.  Not everything has gone as planned but I've had some of the craziest adventures of my life.  I love working out, snowboarding, running, volunteering, cooking/baking, traveling and of course, shopping and obsessing over all things fashion.  I don't know where I got my obsession with fashion but I think I can thank my grandmother because she is a pretty stylish lady.  Either that or it's my great aunt and second cousins that live in San Francisco because they are pretty stylish as well!  Or it could have been when I picked up my first issue of Teen Vogue about 13 years ago.  I've been hooked ever since.

Which brings me to why I started this blog.  I had two other blogs before this but they were mostly "just because" blogs.  I decided I wanted a creative outlet to share my passion and adventures in life and "The Right Shoes" was born.  Because, as Marilyn Monroe said, if you "give a girl the right shoes, she can conquer the world."  So far, I think she is pretty accurate.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy following along with me!
