Window Shopping Wednesday: Flat Gladiators

Last summer was the summer of the tall gladiator boots and I had been wanting a flat pair that I could wear in a more casual setting.  This summer rolled around and I was still having that craving and happened to find the perfect pair at Aldo (I was going for the somewhat minimalist look).  I'll share those with you Friday so in the meantime, I've rounded up a few pairs in case you're ready to test out the trend!

The Right... Europe Outfit

IMG_0261

IMG_0244

While I was in Europe I did a really good job of packing everything in a carry on and taking pieces I could easily mix and match.  Not gonna lie though, I was a little tired of what I had to wear but after 9 days who would be?!  These boots and turtleneck were on heavy repeat (it was also a little chilly some days so layering was key).  I was lucky enough to be able to meet up with Taylor for lunch (at the most amazing sandwich place ever) and she snapped my only outfit pics of my whole trip.

Window Shopping Wednesday: The Gladiator Boot

I'm a huge sucker for a great strappy sandal - particularly a great gladiator sandal.  I'm usually a "traditional" flat gladiator sandal lover (as shown here and here) but when I saw Rachel of Pink Peonies sporting this gold Stuart Weitzman pair I got to thinking I may be able to pull of a more statement pair of gladiators.  I finally broke down and purchased this ah-mazing Vince Camuto pair (as styled here) and I am OB.SESSED.  I never want to take these off!  Well, I have to because I'm not quite ready to rock them to the office and considering the current rain situation, they will just have to wait until summer gets closer.  Le sigh.

In the meantime, here are some of my favorite splurge and steal gladiators:

The Bowery Wall

Happy Monday Tuesday!!  That three day weekend went by wayyy too fast!  Just wanted to pop by with my typical work uniform as of late (blazer + dress+ statement necklace + boots) and also share this amazing piece of artwork with you.  I spotted it on Gary Pepper Girl's insta during NYFW and completely obsessed over it, stalked the internet and found out it was the Bowery mural wall.  I really really love finding surprises like this all over this city.  Never gets old.

Blue Camo + Black Fur

Here I go again with this blue camo dress - I really can't get enough of it.  Instead of a blazer for work I threw on this cozy vest to help me deal with the freezing temps a little better.  Can't wait to be able to wear it in spring without tights.

Dress: c/o Ivy + Blu (on sale!!!), Vest: American Eagle (similar here), Boots: Stuart Weitzman, Bag: c/o Folli Follie (similar here), Watch: c/o Shop HQ, Bracelet: J.Crew, Sunglasses: c/o Sunglass Warehouse

Navy + Black + Leopard

I've had client meetings the last couple of Fridays in a row and although we don't get casual Friday I've had to dress extra nice because of them.  It can be really tough for me to fully pull together an outfit at the end of the week.  Last week it was a little warmer (still only in the 30s), so let my coat do the talking...

Coat: ASOS (similar here), Sweater: Apt. 9, Skirt: Prabal Gurung x Target (similar here), Tights: Uniqlo, Boots: Stuart Weitzman, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Watch: c/o Shop HQ

Travel Attire: The Sweater Edition

I've showed you a couple of travel looks from past trips I've taken (here and here) and on my trip home it was nothing short of comfy per usual.

A couple of weeks ago Krista and I retreated inside Chelsea Market to take some pictures and I reenacted my plane outfit from my trip home last month (a nice little break from the frigid temps I usually bear this time of year).  I can't get enough of those lights!

Sweater: H&M (similar here), Leggings: Uniqlo, Boots: Stuart Weitzman, Hat: Nordstrom (similar here), Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Bracelet: J.Crew, Watch: Fossil

Winterizing a Summer Favorite

I've been searching for the perfect black turtle neck sweater to layer over (or under) some of my favorite summer dresses and I finally found one over Christmas!  Cue the urge to wear it all.the.time.

I threw it on over one of my favorite summer dresses (from this post) and paired it with some boots and tights for an easy work look.  Speaking of boots, I'm finally showing you what I picked up at Nordstrom during mine and Jen's trip to NJ!  I wish I had an amazing story about being gifted these boots or something but instead it's just the result of developing quite the obsession over them and failing to find a good/cheaper alternative.  With that said, meet my new babies.  I never want to take them off.  Kudos Stuart, no wonder these have been so popular for 20 years.

Sweater: Apt. 9, Dress: Julie Jordan (similar here), Tights: Uniqlo, Boots: Stuart Weitzman, Snood: ASOS, Necklace: Stella & Dot, Purse: c/o Folli Follie, Bracelets: c/o Max and Chloe and Kristin Hassan, Watch: Fossil

Late Night OOTD

Don't worry, the title doesn't suggest I took these photos late at night (although before editing they were pretty dark...).   What it does mean is that I wasn't planning on doing my next post until Friday, but here we are, late Wednesday night on a leap day.  I had a pretty exciting day.  I snagged a new necklace from BaubleBar (and with it will come a Leap Day surprise!!!) and I learned about Hilary Rushford's #StyleMeMarch list.  Btw, the first day of March is tomorrow.  TOMORROW!  I know!  It's crazy!

But, since the first day of March is tomorrow and I just learned of this glorious #StyleMeMarch list, here is my late night ootd...

Shirt: Lands End, Vest: Forever 21, Skirt: Marshall's, Shoes: Stuart Weitzman, Jewelry: Juicy Couture, Skagen

This is my first maxi skirt and I have to say I loooove it!  Also, can I point out that this button up is actually a logo'd work shirt?  I love the color and I wanted to wear it but didn't really feel like repping the Co. in this post haha.

Oh and speaking of BaubleBar, here is the #buriedbauble I snagged a couple of weeks ago!  What are #buriedbaubles? BaubleBar secretly marks down one item to $10 and sends out an e-mail every Friday with a clue.  Want to get your own #buriedbaubles?  Use this link to sign up!  It's so much fun!

P.S.  Mother Nature decided she wanted to give us snow finally, and I've been waking up to fresh snow almost every morning this week!

Chambray Remix Pt. 2

Remember my first post about my chambray shirt?  Here's how I mixed it up for work.

Jacket: thrifted, Top: J. Crew, Skirt: Anthropologie, Tights: Kohl's, Necklace: Forever 21, Shoes: Stuart Weitzman

I think I can also consider this a winter floral remix (see the first post here)!

BDIB: Sequins [Better Late Than Never & Unofficial]

I wasn't very happy about having to wear these nude tights (the black ones have yet to be replaced), but I felt so awkward with bare legs.  So I had to go with it!  I was shocked that no one at work commented on my sequins (Lately everyone has been asking some pretty interesting questions in regards to my attire.  I might start making them the titles of my posts!).

Anyway, here is my unofficial take on the Bloggers Do It Better: Sequins (I missed the link up date, but I'm shooting for next time!):

Sweater: H&M, Top: J. Crew, Skirt: BCBG, Shoes: Stuart Weitzman

Hope you're all having a great weekend!!

More than just a cardigan with my dress at work.  So, I threw on a vest.  I think it worked!
