Funny thing happens when it gets above 30 degrees here...  I throw on some light layers and pretend it's spring.  Wishful thinking I guess but I definitely can't wait to be running around in outfits similar to this!  Hopefully soon....!

Floral Peplums and Fall Leather

Happy Wednesday!  Boy does time get away from me sometimes.  And I have to say, living without internet at my current apartment is really cutting into my blogging abilities.  Sorry for leaving you hanging for so long!  I was off to San Antonio last weekend and barely had enough time to catch my breath to get back to work on Monday, let alone get a post done!

I'm starting a new feature on the blog called "work to play" and today is the first outfit! I've been all about the leather for fall and can't stop wearing it - even to work, as you can see below.  Tune in tomorrow to see how I style my top for "play."

September Transition Style: Pearls & Twirls

Thanks so much to Tracy for having me today! I don't know about you guys but I'm officially starting to get a little excited about fall! Even though it's still pretty warm in Tennessee I've been reaching for my fall colors in lightweight fabrics to start to make the summer to fall transition. This breezy Old Navy shirt dress was on constant repeat this summer (with bright accessories) but is the perfect piece to transition to fall with camo, darker accessories and a darker lip. How are you starting to transition your summer to fall wardrobe?

Peplum Midi

Every now and then it's really nice to pull out some old favorites and see how I can incorporate them into my current wardrobe.  This skirt is one of the few thrifted items I own and while I thought about getting rid of it one time I'm glad I didn't.  I just love the pop of pink it adds to any outfit!

A "Plain" White

Happy Friday ya'll!  I hope you had a great week!  I'm so looking forward to a half day at work today and a relaxing weekend.  Sometimes it's really nice to have zero plans for a long weekend!

North v. South: Spring Accessories

Also, can we talk about these shoes and how well they match the scenery?  Jen and I ventured to Prospect Park with the intention of going to the botanical gardens last weekend but the line was so long we ventured to the park instead.  We decided to step out of our usual concrete jungle scenery and pose by the pond - I have to say it was pretty refreshing!  Although I look a little out of context...
