The Right... Go-To November Outift

I've traveled a bunch as of late (and right now I'm exploring Europe) and the weather has finally gotten cold, so it was only natural my go-to outfit is a simple combo of leggings, over the knee boots and a sweater (or faux fur vest in this case).  I wore this when I headed to Jackie's for Octoberfest a couple of weeks ago and wore a similar version on the plane on the way to Paris.

Be sure to check out Jackie and Taylor's posts too - looks like we're all on the comfy/cozy train this month.

The Right... Fall Layers

It's amazing how much mileage I've gotten out of this LOFT romper since I bought it.  I figured I'd wear it through September and the put it away until next spring but I've found myself reaching for it over and over and layering it multiple ways to continue to mix it up.  This was one of our first really cold days this fall and I definitely felt I had enough layers on (maybe should have been wearing pants vs tights but whatevs - I'm not quite ready to commit to that yet).  I will also definitely be wearing this with a turtleneck/cozy sweater over as another cold weather option.

And these booties?  Can we talk about them for a second?  I had yet to find a pair of ankle booties that didn't cut off my legs at a really awkward spot and these ones are perfect IMO!  They also have a bit of a western style to them which makes that west coast/country part of me really happy.

The Right... Leopard Wedge

I don't know if I've ever met a leopard shoe I didn't like, especially this leopard wedge.  I was looking for a good leopard pump for a while, stumbled upon this one and fell.in.loveeee.  It's perfect because the heel is not that tall, the print is good AND its comfy.  Like wear all day around the office/at meetings comfy.  That counts for a lot in NYC!  And it's perfect because I can dress it up or down, depending on the occasion.

The Right... Pop of Color

While I mostly love myself some neutrals, often times I can't resist the right pop of color - I have a feeling this scarf will be in heavy rotation this Spring/Summer.

And how cool are these shoes?  They're by United Nude - they take shoe design to a whole new level (check out their website here).

East v. West Style: Neons

One of my favorite parts about blogging is trying new things and challenging myself to style unexpected items.  I would normally never run around in a neon orange romper but when the challenge arises it makes for a fun style sesh!  In case you haven't caught it yet, this week's East v. West spring style trend is "neons" aka the brightest items you can add to your wardrobe!  I took my orange romper down a few notches by keeping the rest of the palette neutral. What would you style with this?

Check out everyone else's look below!

Winter Basics

Sometimes there's really nothing better than throwing on a sweater dress and boots and heading out the door.  Case in point, the outfit below. I threw on a faux fur vest to make sure I wasn't mistaken as catwoman but it definitely made for an easy Friday work outfit (that transitions well to post-work shenanigans no less!).

What's your go-to winter outfit?

Saturday Fall Shopping in SoHo

When Katie and Shelby stayed the weekend with me (yes, I realize this was a while ago) we met up with Jen and did some shopping in SoHo.  I love the SoHo area - it's always so hustly bustly but it's fun sometimes and literally every store you need is in the area.  We stopped by the LuLu Frost x J. Crew pop up shop where Katie and Shelby DIY'd necklaces with Lisa Salzar herself and then we naturally took a little break for some outfit photos.

It was a bit chilly that weekend so I opted for the light layered look.
