The Right... Navy Loafers

I had the pleasure of interviewing David Bromstad a couple of weeks ago to talk about his newest collection with Naturalizer and let me just say, it was AWESOME.  He is hilarious and you can tell his designs are completely original and based largely on his personality.  I've loved David ever since his HGTV Design Star days (my mom has also been a huge fan since) and to spend some time with him in person and be able to chat about one of my favorite things on the planet was completely surreal.

Also, I must note, you HAVE to make it into a Naturalizer store to check out the collection in person - the photos on the website don't give the detail or comfort justice.  Speaking of comfort, I'm so thankful for my new pair of loafers from the collection because they're the perfect little pillows to put on my feet while I finish out this marathon training.

I'm also loving this moto boot, these heels and this Chelsea boot in the collection!

You guys.  I have very exciting news - this is one of the top pinch me moments and highlights since starting this little blog...

Tomorrow I get to host the Q&A with David Bromstad on Naturalizer's Google+ page to talk about his new fall collection!  I am beyond excited for this opportunity and the best part is, my readers get the first opportunity to ask him questions!  Leave them in the comments below, tweet them at me, DM me, etc. and I'll get to ask him for you!

The Right... Blush Beauty

Even though we're slowly winding into fall I will go as long as I can without putting on tights.  We came close a couple of times this week but I really feel like once you take that step, you don't go back!  I snapped these a couple of weeks ago when it was still pretty warm and I have to admit, I did this whole dress/statement necklace/strappy pumps combo a bunch this summer.  It's just so easy, how can you not?  Especially when I work out a lot in the mornings now so I need something easy to throw on.

Trust me, I working on a similar combo for fall!  Also, I can't wait to pair this dress with boots to transition.  I am loving blush pieces right now, especially this Mango wool coat, this Hinge sweater, this Topshop romper and this pair of Sole Society pumps (and if I really wanted to splurge, this Cynthia Rowley dress).

On a side note, I have really exciting news!  I'm hosting the Google hangout with David Bromstad next Tuesday to discuss his newest collection with Naturalizer and I'd love for you to tune in!  Annndddd my readers get the first shot at asking him questions!  Email me anything you'd like me to ask him and I'll be sure to let him know it came from you guys!

Oh and don't forget to enter the $200 AmEx/Well-Kept giveaway here!  Contest closes Monday night!

Spring Style: Picnic in the Park

I'm SO excited about this spring/summer becuase I'm living so much closer to Central Park.  It used to be a serious trek for me to get up there and I had only been a handful of times but now I'm living 3 blocks away and I run there all the time!

I'm really looking forward to boozy picnics in the park with my friends this summer, and a fit and flare sun dress is the way to go (in my opinion) for this type of outing.

The Week: Fashion, Food and Fitness

This last week I...

Hit the gym 4 times!  I'm finally getting back into a routine and it feels great.  Now I just need to actually use that kickboxing class I purchased on Groupon....

Had an impromptu brunch and shopping sesh with Jen and Krista last Saturday when our photo sesh got completely rained out.  Krista and I ventured to the UWS (like wayyyyyy UWS) to get supplies at Michael's for the DIY I posted about last weekend.  I ended up with a new friend for my dresser, a super cute pair of shoes from TJ Maxx (coming to the blog next week!) and some hot pink striped straws.  Because everyone needs hot pink striped straws.  Right?  Right.

Could not stop drooling over this Halston Heritage dress.  And as fate would have it the day after I tried it on for size to stalk until it went on sale, it went on sale for 40% off.  After working my "shopping math" wizard magic, I scored it for more than 50% off.  Now that's a great feeling.

Found out I'm running the NYC marathon!!!!!  What?!  Time to start training!  Well, not seriously til August...

Started up with #StyleMeApril!  It's been about 2 years since I first participated and it was super helpful with my outifts last week!  Want to learn more?  Head to Hilary Rushford's blog for all the deets.

Guest posted for Sarah as she makes a big move back to our hometown!  Check out the post here.

Met David Bromstad at the David Bromstad x Naturalizer press event!  I love David and was SO excited to meet him and see his collection - it truly was inspiring.  More on deets that later!

I picked up some coral nail polish for the first time ever!  One of my besties raved about Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant so I thought I'd give it a shot and try a new hue!

Made this amazing chicken/bacon/broccoli/rice dish - it was SO easy and a fun little treat for dinner each night.

Also, I'm gearing up for the Peter Som x Kohl's launch next week - have you seen it?  Seriously great pieces - check them all out here.  What are you eyeing?!  I am having a hard time narrowing down my choices...  That could be a problem.

May have done some post HH shopping with the Piperlime 25% off sale - they have some really great stuff right now!  Hurry, the sale ends tomorrow!

I'm also still planning to stop by the United Nude sample sale next week - if you're in the area be sure to check it out!

Whew - that was a full week wasn't it?  What did you do this week?
