TheRightShoes x Muse Apparel [+ Giveaway!!!]

Happy Monday!!  I'm super excited to share this post with you!  I'd like to introduce you to Muse Apparel, another amazing dress company I've recently discovered!  I think we all know I'm a huge fan of work appropriate dresses because they are so easy to work with and can be fairly versatile (hello denim jacket and sandals on the weekends!) and Muse has a great selection.

They've asked me to share how I "Live Like A Muse" so here goes!  Disclaimer: a normal day really does consist of at least 2-3 of these activities but it's usually a lot busier than depicted!  Click through to see the full photos and read all the way through to see how you can get your hands on some Muse Apparel!

I generally start the day getting ready at my apartment and while my curls set I pick out my accessories.  I usually need a midday pick me up either coming from client meetings or just to get out of the office so afternoon coffee is a must!  Then, if I'm lucky enough to get out of the office for happy hour my go-to is a rooftop bar near the office (I can't get enough of the outdoors and this weather now that the heat wave is over).

Sometimes I detour a bit to walk along the river to clear my head and have some quiet time.  And after I eat dinner I finally sit down to prep my blog post for the next day, catch up on emails and get some Pinterest time in.

Want to get involved?  Visit the campaign page here and simply enter your email address and you could win a collection of goodies I curated as well as Muse giftcards! I'd love to see how you #LiveLikeAMuse so tag all you pictures on Twtiter and Instagram!

Dressy Lady

Happy Monday!!  I hope you all had a fab weekend.  Mine sure was great, I finally made it home to visit and had a blast at the Rodeo.  It really is true that you can take a girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl.  It was so great to see so many old friends and now I'm so excited to hang out with my family the next couple of days!

I first saw this dress on Blair's blog and immediately fell in love so when it went on sale I hunted it down!  And by hunted it down I went to three different Ann Taylor stores in the city and eventually had to order it online because they didn't have my size at all in the stores.  I have to say I'm glad I went on the hunt because it's been a great addition to my work wardrobe.

Will Work for Clothes

Happy Friday everyone!!!  Part of this post is to fill you in on my life as of late and give you an outfit!!  So, I'm no longer interning at StyleSight, which is ok, it was such an amazing opportunity and I was able to experience my first fashion shows, which was awesome.  I also learned about trend forecasting and reporting and learned that I don't love that side of the business.  That's what this is all about right?  Learning what I like or don't like, what motivates me every day and all the aspects of the business.

This brings me to my newest adventure/opportunity!  I've been interning at the Lily Kate Showroom for the past two weeks!  They sell the following lines: Parker, Townsen, Young Fabulous and Broke, Karina Grimaldi and Add.  I'm doing general assistant stuff: helping with appointments, filing, steaming and merchandising the clothing, etc.  And of course with most cases, interning = no pay.  However!  They let me pick out some clothes every now and then!  I've been extremely fortunate to add some amazing Parker digs to my wardrobe with this internship.  Which leads me to my outfit...!

Coral + Pink Ruffles

During the hot spells we've had I tried to find some hot weather yet office friendly looks and this was one of my favorites.  I also decided to actually do something with my hair that day so that helped a little too!

Tomorrow I'll be landing in NYC ready to start a big adventure adn I couldn't be more excited!!  It's taken a lot of work though to get to this point.  I have to tell you, it's amazing how much stuff a person can accumulate over their life!

A Crisp White

Shirt that is.  Wore this little number for #StyleMeMay last week for the "classic white shirt" and I just have to say that I love this shirt.  Or any crisp white shirt for that matter.  So simple and classic and so many possibilities.

DIY Rope Knot Necklace Styled + Weekend Attire

Remember my post from yesterday?  If you didn't see it, catch it here.  I had a pretty productive weekend, how was yours?

Here's how I styled my new DIY for a casual dinner event:

Trench: H&M, Sweater: Forever 21, T-shirt: Hanes, Jeans: Gap, Sandals: Fergie, Jewelry: DIY, Fossil

Sorry for the poor quality here, no matter how I edited the photo it wasn't turning out right but I really wanted to highlight the shoes!  Definitely a new fave

Have you read Nina Garcia's books?  I love that she says a simple white t-shirt is a wardrobe essential.  Sometimes it's a good idea to amp up the accessories and keep the rest simple (like my outfit above - I really wanted to highlight the necklace).
