Spring Style: Sunday Funday

There's nothing quite like the feeling of a wide-open Sunday spent outdoors brunching, at the park, shopping or exploring.  Even though spring is typically warmer, you never know when it'll be time to still wear things that cover you up a bit while still feeling springy.  Spring is also my favorite time to bust out my white jeans and new wedges.

Speaking of new wedges, how gorg are these babies from Trask?  They are beyond well-made and super comfy and will take me all the way to fall (aka you'll be seeing them a.lot.).

Shirt: Joe Fresh (similar here), Vest: Old Navy, Jeans: Gap, Wedges: c/o Trask, Necklace: c/o Capwell + Co, Bag: Louis Vuitton

TGIF/Casual Friday & An Update

Happy Friday!!  One more week left at the job...  So crazy.  And still so much to do!!

Here's an update on my bucket list progress, and I'm hoping to knock out some more this weekend:

  • Get Nachos at Silver Peak
  • Take mom & brother to Louis Basque Corner
  • Go to an Aces game
  • Have the bf take me shooting one more time (I think it'll be a while before this happens again)
  • Spend time at Donner Lake/run the lake
  • Float the Truckee River
  • Take Kyle to Nik-n-Willie's Pizza (I worked there in high school and haven't had it in almost 4 years!!)
  • Eat at Garwoods and get a Wet Woody
  • Go to an Artown Event
  • Night in the Country/one more concert (unfortunately, I don't think this is going to happen)
  • Get a Pedi at Soak and get one of their signature cocktails
  • Visit San Francisco one more time
  • Eat at the new cafe at the Nevada Museum of Art

  • I thought I had made a lot more progress that this....  I think I just need to work a little harder!

And, here was my casual Friday look from last week.  Enjoy your weekend!

Top: Forever 21, Jeans: Gap, Shoes: Nickel (bought at Famous Footwear), Belt: Forever 21, Necklace: BaubleBar, Watch: Fossil

    My Shopping Mission

First of all I hope you all had a fab Easter weekend (and if you don't celebrate, just a fab weekend!).  If you read my post on Friday or follow me on Twitter, you'll notice I talked about a little shopping mission.  I haven't had much extra money for shopping lately but I decided I really wanted to add some spring clothes to my wardrobe and I also wanted some new clothes for my trip.
So, on Friday I set out on a mission:  $150 budget/6 Items/10 Stores

    Things I was looking for:
    White jeans/pants
    Yellow jeans
    Summer blazer
New Dress (lace, striped, or just springy in general)
    Pink pants
    Sandals

    Stores on my list:

    New York & Co.
    Gap
    TJ Maxx
    Target
    Kohl's
    JC Penny
    Marshall's
    Ann Taylor Factory Store
    Forever 21
    Gap Factory Store
I didn't make it to Target, Kohl's, JC Penny or Marshall's but I did go by Old Navy.

Here's what I ended up with!

    New York & Co.

    Old Navy

    Forever 21

    Ann Taylor Factory Store

    Gap Factory Store

So I was definitely missing the summer blazer, white jeans, yellow jeans and sandals but I couldn't resist the gingham skirt, the shoes are kind of like sandals, and the yellow sweater kind of replaces the lack of yellow jeans.  I went over my budget by $15 so total I spent $165 but I got some pretty good stuff!  Can't wait to show you all how I'll be styling it.
