The Right... Blush Carryall [+ a Giveaway!]

Friends, meet my newest handbag obsession: Dagne Dover.  You might have seen my instagram a few weeks ago but I found them on Instagram over Thanksgiving and instantly fell in love.  Serendipitously I was then invited to an event with Well Kept at the Dagne Dover pop up shop where I was able to see the bags first hand and it was love at first crossbody.  They are such good quality, beautifully built and the colors are soo good.  Oh and they have all the perfect pockets and compartments to keep everything beyond organized (the mini I'm wearing has a padded pocket for a tablet!).

Simply Stated

There's a funny story behind these photos.  They were taken on Sunday before Sandy was expected to hit.  I figured I'd get a one-up on the weather and get some outfit photos snapped and also wanted to take a photo for the What We Wore fall remix challenge (you can check it out here).  While snapping photos, on the roof, a gust of wind came up, blew open the door, blew away my doorstop cardboard (it gets really technical up there) and thank goodness I reacted quickly enough to grab the cardboard and the door because otherwise it would have shut and locked me out.  I know this because it's not the first time I've been locked out on the roof... 

That would have been a funny phone call to the Super ("I'm stuck on the roof, can you let me in?") and my manager at work ("Uh.... I might be a little late to work because I'm stuck on my roof...").

Anyway, the reason behind the title of this post.  I picked up this statement collar necklace at Anthropologie recently and I'm in love with it.  I love how it can transform this simple jeans and knit top outfit.

Archived Weekend Wear

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a great weekend!  I've made a lot of progress on prepping for the move but I still have soooo much to do!

I wore this a couple of weekends ago and I love this jumper but mostly wear it to the pool or the beach.  I really wanted to wear it to run errands but to avoid looking like I was wearing pjs I threw on the military vest.  I love how it pepped up the outfit a bit!

Going Green

Or should I say chartreuse?  In my shopping adventures in the city this past weekend I was a Gap with the girls and we were all oogling over the colored jeans (they have the most amazing shade of aqua skinny jeans right now).  I still have not been able to bring myself to buy a colored pair of jeans.  I bought a pair of purple pants a couple of months ago and really like them but jeans I still can't do it.

Instead.... I rounded the corner and found these chartreuse babies and fell head over heals.  I know, head over heels for a pair of crazy green pants.  Well, it happened, and they went home with me.  Btw, I'm putting myself on a spending freeze until after I get to NYC...  I've been a bit on a roll lately and I finally realized that I do actually have to move this stuff across country or get it shipped...  Woops?

World Traveler: Business Edition

Yesterday was "World Traveler" for #StyleMeMay and let me tell you, this orange get-up sure had me in a peppy mood!  This dress makes me feel like traveling south of the border - throw on some sandals and you're set for the beach!  However, I wasn't fortunate enough to be south of the border so I had to class it up for work.  '
