TGIF/Liebster Award!

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you all had a great week!  I'm taking a break from all the outfit/shopping inspo today and helping you get a little more acquainted with me!
 

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that over a week ago (I know, I realize that was a while ago but I've been ridiculously busy!) that I had been nominated for a Liebster Award by Tania of The Blogolista!  The Liebster Blog award is for up and coming bloggers and is sort of a chain mail for bloggers.  First I'll give you some random facts about me and then answer some questions (below the pictures)!  And the girls I'm nominating are at the very bottom of the post.  I hope you enjoy getting to know me a little better!

From the top, left to right: I've run two half and two full marathons, I was a TriDelta in college, I have a weakness for chocolate, I once won money gambling and bought Louis, I have an obsession with water towers (and old barns), I like to be a cowgirl sometimes, I've been chukar hunting (and actually got a bird) and I really like picons, whiskey and wine

 

What is your favorite thing about being a blogger?

At first I loved blogging because it was a creative outlet in my "not always fashion savvy" world in my hometown, but now it's really about the sense of community and being surrounded by people who share common interests with me (and of course hoping to inspire people!). 

What is your ultimate goal as a blogger?

Experiences.  I really hope blogging can give me some experiences with people, brands, the world, that I wouldn't have found if I didn't start blogging.
 

If you could collaborate with one brand, which would it be?

This is such a tough question! It's a major toss-up between J.Crew, DVF, Rachel Zoe and Michael Kors.
 

Favorite designer?

Really tough question again.  Lately I've been loving everything Vince; I love J.Crew, DVF and Rachel Zoe (of course); and Michael Kors, Tory Burch, Tadashi Shoji and BCBG.
 

The most awesome thing in your closet is…

My vintage real leather pencil skirt. I need to get it tailored but I am obsessed with it.  It made an appearance here.

Favorite blogger?

I have the biggest girl crush on Blair from Atlantic-Pacific.  And I also absolutely adore Krystal of This Time Tomorrow (she is my ultimate inspiration for my blog and a little secret, we went to high school together :) ). 
 

Favorite season and why?

Fall!!!  I love the numerous ways you can transform your spring/summer wardrobe into fall and I love the changing of the leaves.  I think it's a magical time of year because you start to anticipate all the excitement of the holiday festivities!
 

Favorite place to shop?

I do a lot of online shopping (love Nordstrom online), J.Crew, Gap, LOFT, Zara, C.Wonder and many others. 

If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be and why?

Jennifer Aniston.  I grew up loving her in Friends and all the movies she has starred in and I think she is absolutely gorgeous.

When you grew up, you wanted to be…

Anything from a fashion designer to a doctor to an architect.
 

What are your plans for next year? (traveling, blogging, etc.)

Let's see....  I'd love to get a "real" job here in NYC, travel the East Coast (I am dying to go to Connecticut, Maine, Boston, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C.), hopefully get back into marathon running and maybe finally go to Europe.
