Monochromatic Peplum

So I finally joined the year 2012 and bought a peplum top.  Now, before you jump to conclusions, hear me out.  I have that white/black floral peplum top but it was from a couple of years ago and I've just kind of made it work with this year's peplum trend.  I found this beauty during the Zara sale and I love how it can be nice for evening or paired with jeans for a more casual look.  I've had this skirt for at least two months now and couldn't ever figure out what to wear it with until, bam!  This peplum top came along.  It's a little crazy and bright but it worked and I loved it.

A Peplum Story

Isn't it great when a new trend pops up and you already have something in your closet to go with it? That's what happened with this shirt.  I actually bought it a couple of years ago and have never really been sold on it but, apparently this style is back in!  Score!

So, here is my take on the peplum trend:

Yesterday was also "tease that hair" day for Style Me March.  Let me tell you.  This is as "big" as I could get my hair (which is actually pathetic because I used to do it a lot bigger, all the time.  It's a really good thing I don't live in the South or I'd be in trouble!).
