The Right... Spring Work Look

I love pushing the envelope with my work looks and these shoes make no exception.  I am a little surprised I hopped on the fringe sandal bandwagon but I'm glad I did.  I really really wanted the red pair and these blue ones are kinda fun, but knowing I would wear them to work I decided to go with a more neutral black.  These shoes are perfect for a night out and really dress up a pair of jeans but I also took them for a spin at work with this more conservative blazer/pencil skirt combo.  I love Ann Taylor's lace fabrics, they are such amazing quality for their price points (and they usually go on some sort of sale so it's easy to snag them at an affordable price).

I fell in love with this top when I saw it on Alex's blog last fall and scooped it up right away.  I really try not to make impulse purchases like that but the price and style were just too good.  I love playing with different silhouettes and while fitted, tailored clothes are great, it's nice to throw an unexpected top like this into the mix.  I definitely picture trying to wear it with (longer) shorts and strappy sandals come summer!   Get the Look:

Window Shopping Wednesday: Warm Weather Prep

Spring 2016 wardrobe prep is in FULL effect over here.  The days are slowly getting longer and the warmer weather is slowly creeping in and I cannot wait.  I'm so close to being done going through my closet purge - I've been going through all my stuff, trying to sell things, donating, etc. and it's taken forever because I can't seem to find the time to do everything I need to at once.  But I see the light at the end of the tunnel!  While I prep for new things, I wanted to share some things on my spring wishlist, including these to-die-for suede sandals and a new pair of boyfriend jeans (because what's better than a new pair of denim?  Only a few things):   [ps - simply click the "+" for all the deets!]

The Right... Spring Shorts

Guys.  I don't know if you heard but, it's f*#$ing freezing in New York (sorry mom) and I'm pretty much over it.  I'm definitely kicking myself for not escaping to somewhere warmer this past weekend because I'm in definite need of some sunshine!  I found these photos from last Fashion Week and realized I never posted them.  Since we're right in the midst of a freezing Fashion Week, I felt they were super appropriate because this is what I'm dying to be wearing right now (instead of my puffer and layers on layers on more layers).   I also started pinning some things I'm adding to my spring wishlist (and stay tuned to my "currently coveting" tab for updates too!).  What are you dying to scoop up for spring?
