Happy 2015!

a lot can happen in a year

And it did.  2014 was a big year for me.

In January my passport arrived.  February brought the most spontaneous trip I've ever been on when I hopped a flight to Hilton Head with Krista to escape the polar vortex that was our weather.  In March the [big] trip planning began.  What started as just a week in Italy evolved to include Paris and I was officially on the hunt for flights.  I decided 2014 was the year I was going to run the New York City Marathon and found out I was officially training/running with Team for Kids.  In April, I hit a home run at work when we got a marketing campaign approved for one of my clients.  What would follow would be a series of short, killer events and a new "baby" for me to foster in the form of a new website and the most fun social media account of all our clients (disclaimer: I don't usually talk real life job stuff here but the whole campaign was definitely a major highlight for me).  I also met David Bromstad at his Naturalizer launch event and would later host a live Google hangout interview with him about his second collection with Naturalizer.  In May, one of my bestest girlfriends came to visit and I was so happy to be able to show her my life in NYC.  June kicked off yet another "summer of yes."  And the summer of spontaneous concerts (ex: purchasing Gov Ball tickets the night before it started - Outkast killed it and I relived some amazing musical memories).  I went on my usual bi-yearly trip home for the Rodeo followed by the most amazing Fourth of July weekend at Lake Schroon.  Zac Brown Band concert tickets were purchased the day before their show at PNC Bank Arts Center and I officially started marathon training.  July also brought November Project into my life (thanks to my BRF - best running friend) and I would never look at group fitness the same again.

August brought an amazing weekend in Saratoga including yet another spontaneous concert ticket purchase (Jason Aldean), a day at the races with America's Best Racing and an extra night out on Caroline Street.  September brought a very busy Fashion Week (including backstage at Prabal Gurung!), a trip to Chicago, DC AND Philly (it was very travel heavy!).  In October I caught the Jeff Koons exhibit at the Whitney right before it closed and really battled through my running injuries in preparation for the NYC Marathon.  In November I completed the Marathon, went to my first Ranger's game, my best friend got engaged and I packed my bags for my 9 day trip to Europe.  I closed the year with a couple of great holiday parties, a night at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, a weekend reunited with my besties in SF and a solid week of relaxing at home and spending time with my family for the holiday.

2014 was a crazy amazing year and I can't wait to see what adventures await for me in 2015!  Cheers to a new year!

The Right... Vacation Romper

Happy Monday!  I realized I still had one last outfit to post from Hilton Head!  I've had this romper for a while now but I haven't worn it in a long time (I think maybe once last summer?) so it felt just right to take to the warm weather getaway.  I can't wait to wear it more this spring/summer.

Jacket: Old Navy, Romper: BCBGeneration (old but similar here and here), Shoes: Nine West (love this version and this year's studded version), Hat: random stand in SoHo (similar here)

Beach Days

I'm takin' it back a couple of weekends with this post from mine and Krista's little jaunt to Hilton Head Island.  I sure am missing the sunshine, fresh air and minimal clothing (tmi..?) - I'm hoping this is one of many beach days this year.  Last year I didn't make it to the beach at all (not even when I went home and was 30 short minutes from the glorious Lake Tahoe - it's a sin, I know).

PS - did you catch the video Krista made?  Really showing my goober side in this one so I suggest you go check it out ;).  Ugh - can I just go back to the beach now?

Hat: randomly bought in SoHo last year (similar below), Tunic: Forever 21 (old but other favorites below!), Sandals: Nine West (love this year's studded version), Sunglasses: c/o Sunglass Warehouse

North v. South: Celebrating Pink Bubbly's Monogram Shop

I'm so excited for today's post!  I'm teaming up with all the North v. South ladies to celebrate the launch of Pink Bubbly's monogram shop!  I've developed quite the obsession with monograms and when Michelle asked us to help her with this launch I just couldn't say no.  You can completely customize your necklace so I suggest stocking up on all your favorite combinations!

I also had the pleasure of finally meeting Michelle IRL when Krista and I went to Hilton Head and she is such a doll (not that I expected anything less of course)!  I wore this outfit to dinner when we all met up and looking at these pictures makes me seriously ready for spring/summer.

Dress: ASOS (similar here), Sandals: Nine West (from last year but loving this studded pair!), Clutch: c/o GiGi New York, Monogram Necklace: c/o Pink Bubbly, Silver Necklace: c/o Required Flare (use code RSB20 for 20% off until 3/14!!)

The Week: Fashion, Food, Fitness

This week I...

Had a bit of a hard time getting back to real life after mine and Krista's escape to Hilton Head last weekend!  Check out the cutest video she made here.

Didn't make it to the gym at all (still giving my back a rest and fighting insomnia) but am getting back to it next week starting with the Tone It Up girls and their focus on National Nutrition Month (for March) - head here for some more details.

Succumbed to some Gilt splurges!  What started as the roomie notifying me of the J Brand sale ended in purchasing a mint jersey dress and a white tweed jacket.  More spring tweed favorites here and here.

Started prepping for another round of the East v. West Style series!  First post launches on the 18th so stay tuned!

Debuted my first #springstyle series post yesterday.  I put together a work look with my new Sole Society beauties to give you some inspiration!

Also, tune in next week to see my post along with the other lovely ladies from the North v. South collab styling a little monogram surprise!
