Window Shopping Wednesday: Massimo Dutti

I know what you're thinking: it's not Wendesday, it's Thursday (aka it better not still be Wednesday or I'll be one unhappy camper!).  Let's just say I've had quite the week.  And by quite the week I mean work has been crazy and my usual Window Shopping Wednesday was delayed on account of a very large glass of wine being spilled all over a corner of my room (including my bed) as I sat down to write my WSW post yesterday.  All I can say is praise the lord it was white wine (I usually drink red) however it was a very large glass (didn't you see I said things have been crazy? What else is a girl to do?) and required a lot of clean-up.  I think the saying goes "don't cry over spilled milk" but spilled wine?  Well, we won't go into those details...

Anyway, I'm super excited to write this post today because I feel like I've had so much to say about this brand for quite some time now!  I want to introduce you to the amazingness that is Massimo Dutti.  I worked at the first U.S. store that opened here in NYC last October and I have been obsessed with drooling over the clothes since.  Massimo is a sister company to Zara and before opening in NYC only had stores in Africa, Europe, South America and the Middle East.  So unless you've traveled to these places you probably haven't heard of Massimo.  Not that I'm discouting your fashion brand knowledge, I just know I hadn't heard of it!  The pricepoint for the quality of the clothing is just beyond (think 100% Cashmere sweaters, silk/cotton/cashmere blend sweaters & shirts, and silk blouses for under $200, and real italian leather jackets, most for under $500).  And can we talk about the handbags and shoes?  They are all made out of real leather.  And so affordable.  Win-win if you ask me!

They also add some great details to their clothes.  Personally, I'm, obsessed with their striped shirts, the elbow patches on their shirts and the quilted patterns on a lot of their leather jackets.  Ultimately what I'm getting at is, if you want to add some fresh, quality, classic pieces to your wardrobe, you need to check them out!  If you're in NYC, they have a store on 5th Avenue (689 5th bet 54th & 55th) or shop online.

Oh and the men's clothes?  Don't even get me started...

Below are some of my faves from their current collection and if you tune in tomorrow, you'll see one of my favorite Massimo pieces I grabbed during their sale!
