Will Work for Clothes

Happy Friday everyone!!!  Part of this post is to fill you in on my life as of late and give you an outfit!!  So, I'm no longer interning at StyleSight, which is ok, it was such an amazing opportunity and I was able to experience my first fashion shows, which was awesome.  I also learned about trend forecasting and reporting and learned that I don't love that side of the business.  That's what this is all about right?  Learning what I like or don't like, what motivates me every day and all the aspects of the business.

This brings me to my newest adventure/opportunity!  I've been interning at the Lily Kate Showroom for the past two weeks!  They sell the following lines: Parker, Townsen, Young Fabulous and Broke, Karina Grimaldi and Add.  I'm doing general assistant stuff: helping with appointments, filing, steaming and merchandising the clothing, etc.  And of course with most cases, interning = no pay.  However!  They let me pick out some clothes every now and then!  I've been extremely fortunate to add some amazing Parker digs to my wardrobe with this internship.  Which leads me to my outfit...!

  5. Love that dress! You may not be getting paid, but at least the clothes are fab! I worked my rear end off for a company (full-time and then some!) for FOUR MONTHS! The key is finding a balance between good experience and getting taken advantage of... Very hard to do!
