The Right... Valentine's Day Makeup Look (+Giveaway!)

Welcome to my first ever makeup Monday post!  I wouldn't get too used to this because I typically wear a basic combination of makeup and would not consider myself a major product junkie but sometimes its necessary to switch it up a bit!  I am excited about today's post though because I'm teaming up with Laqa & Co (one of my favorite new brands) for a little giveaway of their amazing Fat Lip Pencils (FLP) in Siren Song (this amazing marsala color - so approps for 2015!).  Two of my readers will win so make sure you enter below.  In the theme of the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday (does that even count as a holiday?  I'll save that discussion for a different day), I decided to do a "Valentine's" themed make up for you.    
  Since I like a bold lip more than  bold eye, I'm opting to keep it fairly simple on the eyes but play up my lips.  I started with a base of BareMinerals Complexion Rescue (my new favorite "foundation" - it combines the benefits of a BB, CC and tinted moisturizer!) and BareMinerals Stroke of Light eye brightener (this stuff is a godsend to ward off tired eyes and dark circles).  I used a shimmery taupe on the lids and a light pink to highlight my brow bones and in the corners of my eyes to brighten everything.  I topped it off with a heavy line of black liner, my favorite Urban Decay primer + mascara combo and filled in the eyebrows with some Benefit Gimme Brow.  I needed a little bronzer on the cheeks for some color and I added the bold lip with my favorite Laqa & Co FLP in Palate Cleanser (seriously the most flattering shade of red/burgundy I think I've ever put on my lips).  And with that I'm off to figure out what color to do my mani #firstworldproblems.   How are you doing your makeup for the big Vday?
