Despite the 75 degree weather we had this weekend I couldn't shake the urge to bake something. I bought a large bag of fuji apples about a week ago and had barely made a dent in them and decided to make them into an apple pie (I gave you a little preview in my post yesterday). It tasted incredible. And it was fairly simple (I cheated and used a pre-made crust but this recipe includes directions for a homemade crust).
My only complaint was that my crust didn't turn out crumbly but I think it's because I let the butter get too soft. Oh well, I'll perfect it next time!
