Comfort zone? What comfort zone??

The highlight of this outfit is the skirt.  I am stepping wayy out of my comfort zone with this skirt (in more ways than one!).  First of all, the skirt is thrifted.  Until about a month and a half ago I would go to thrift stores here and there but never really buy anything becuase I felt weird about wearing "upcycled" clothing (I like the word upcycled better than used, btw).  Then something creeped inside me on my first trip to Junkie when I bought two skirts and a great bracelet and I haven't been able to stop thrifting.  Reason number two as to why this is out of my comfort zone is because this skirt is leather.  Yes, real leather.  I have never owned anything real leather until this (I bought a faux leather jacket at Target earlier this year but that's about it). 

So here's to me stepping out of my comfort zone!  And let me tell you, it feels good - really good.  And this skirt gave me a little extra spring in my step for a hump day!
